Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Office is officially opened by the President Dr. Mohamed Waheed Hassan on ceremony held for the Official Launching of Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and Baa Atoll Conservation Fund in Baa Eydhafushi.
The newly established Baa Atoll Biosphere Reserve office is located in Eydhafushi, the capital island of Baa Atoll. The office is mandated with managing and developing the Biosphere Reserve. The office will function under the Environmental Protection Agency, Ministry of Environment and Energy.
The Managing Director has been assign to the Biosphere Reserve Office on 1st June 2012.
