this is the channel between Meedhufushi faru and Maavaru falhu which is about 100 meters wide. There are several thilas in the channel and the top of the thilas are about 18 meter depth and the sandy bottom between the thilas are about 25 meters. There is the reef outside the thila are abundant with corals and slopes down to atoll outside. the reefs on the west and east side of the channel forms terraces that steps down the slope to a depth of 25 meters.

 

SPECIAL FEATURES:  White tip sharks, grey reefsharks, Napoleon wrasses, sea turtles, spotted eagle rays and snappers. Blue marlins, sailfishes and whale sharks are also sighted.
