the channel on the south side of vattaru atoll gives the best opprtunity for diving. The reef corner on the south near the small island drops steepy on the outside to about 45 meters and then slopes to a deep sandy bottom. There are many ovrhangs and caves on the outside as well as in the channel corner. Near the corner most caves occurs about 10 to 20 meters.Protected Areas
